We Won It!!

Congratulations to everyone who wanted the Pakistani team to win the T20 world cup and to all those friends who were just mad about it. Informing and congratulating each other at midnight through calls and SMS that Pakistan has entered the finals. Those who came out to the streets and shouted because of happiness when the Pakistani team won the world cup. Those who did "Hawwai Firing" in the neighborhood to express their happiness. Congratulations to all.

Afridi rora, you have done a great job throughout the series. You have shined like a star once again. We love your passion for winning and your style of playing. Keep that up.

Pashto names for days of the week

Different names for the days of the week have been used by many Pashto TV channels, websites, newspapers, magazines, etc.; some of them are borrowed names, some are neologism, and some have used the original names. The original names which are:

Saturday: Khali خالي

Sunday: Itwaar اتوار

Monday: Gul ګل

Tuesday: Nahe نهې

Wednesday: Shoro شورو

Thursday: Zyarat زيارت

Friday: Jumma جمعه

are being used only by Khyber TV channels, PTV (Pashto), and some websites as SCPRD.com, etc. Fortunately, the TV channels mentioned are the leading TV channels among the Pashto speakers. On the other hand, there are some TV channels and websites that do not use the original names and use the borrowed names. There are also some websites which use the invented words (neologism) for these; such as tolafghan.com, etc.

What I would stronly suggest is to please use these names which are actively in use among the speakers of the Pashto language and the leading media of the Pashto language. Neither do we need to borrow any words when we have our own, nor do we have to invent words when not needed at all.
